The only thing cringier than being a white dude who raps? Being a white dude who raps so badly that it curses an entire NFL team.
Back in September, rapper Archie decided to show his love for the Philadelphia Eagles, performing his football-themed hit (a term used very loosely here) “Hurts, Don’t It?” during a local news segment celebrating the city of brotherly love’s home team.
“You’ll never take me out but I’ll still bleed green if you cut me!” he spit into the mic during the now-viral segment, a group of what may be the most calm-looking Philly fans in all of NFL history politely nodding along to the beat.
This isn’t hyperbole when I say that this could wreck the #Eagles season.#FlyEaglesFly

Yet where some saw a cringe-inducing performance, one so bad it evoked comparisons Lil’ Kev in from It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, MLB Network host Robert Flores saw more — a sign heralding the end of the Eagles’ season.

“This isn’t hyperbole when I say that this could wreck the #Eagles season,” he captioned the now-viral video back in September.
Yet what was likely an off-handed joke about Archie’s rapping chops proved to foretell the Philly team’s unfortunate fate — getting knocked out of the playoffs after losing 32-9 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night.
“The exact moment when you knew it was over....” wrote @Gritzblitz56 alongside the clip, while @bohmsturtleneck took aim at Flores’ inadvertent soothsaying.
“LOOK WHAT YOU DID ROBERT,” they penned.
Losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — it hurts, don’t it?
